Space Clearing and Blessing
Many spiritual and energetic traditions recognize that the places where we live and work can carry a sense of what has occurred within them. A home may feel peaceful and welcoming, while another space may feel heavy, unsettled, stagnant, or simply not like
our own. Periods of conflict, illness, grief, major life transition, or significant activity within a space can also influence how we experience and relate to our surroundings.
Space clearing, sometimes called energetic cleansing, is the practice of intentionally clearing heavy, stagnant, or residual energy from a home, workplace, land, or other environment. The intention is to restore a greater sense of balance and harmony within the space and create an environment that feels lighter, clearer, and more supportive to those who live or work there.
Space clearing may also be accompanied by a blessing ceremony. While clearing focuses on releasing energy that no longer feels supportive to the space, blessing provides an opportunity to establish new intentions for the home, property, or workplace and honor the relationship between the people, the place, and the land.
When Might You Consider a Space Clearing?
A clearing or blessing may be meaningful:

The Clearing & Blessing Process
Space clearings at Dendera Ascend draw from energetic and ceremonial practices learned through training in Andean and other earth-based spiritual traditions. Depending upon the space and circumstances, a clearing may incorporate flowers, cleansing waters or mists, smoke, sound, prayer, intention, and other energetic or ceremonial practices.
One practice that may be incorporated is a carnation cleansing ritual using red and white carnations and prepared cleansing mixtures. The practitioner moves throughout the home, building, or property, working intentionally with each area to clear heavy or stagnant energy and restore greater energetic balance.
Following the clearing, the space may be blessed and new intentions established for the home, land, or workplace. Rather than attempting to return a property to some universal “pristine” energetic state, the intention is to create a renewed relationship with the space—one that reflects how those who live or work there would like it to feel moving forward.
Each clearing is individualized according to the property, circumstances, and intentions of the client.
